“Mermaid” — Live Art by Rudo, painted during Art & Bass (9 November 2024) as a guest visual artist, an event presented by 3Lefts NZ.
 
Rudo is a lifelong artist now stepping back into the scene with a vibrant, intuitive style. Her work spans sensual nudes, biomorphic forms, tiny drawings, abstracts, and watercolours — always embracing a bit of beautiful mess and playful freedom.
 
During the event, deep bass music pulsed through the room as these flowing mermaid forms emerged from her brush.
The palette leans into an icy, dark blue — almost frozen, yet still holding quiet life beneath the surface.
The elegant, flowing body lines feel distinctly Rudo, a strength that shows in every sweeping stroke.
